Parking Registration Information for Students


STUDENT REGISTRATION FOR 2017-2018 PARKING PERMITS

HOW

  • Log in to Appalnet and use the Self Service tab to access the parking registration system.

OPENING DATES FOR REGISTRATION BASED ON STUDENT CLASS

  • Monday, July 10,  9:00 a.m. Graduate students and Seniors
  • Thursday, July 13, 9:00 a.m. Juniors 
  • Monday, July 17, 9:00 a.m. Sophomores
  • Thursday, July 20, 9:00 a.m. Freshmen

ELIGIBILITY FOR STUDENT LOT PERMITS

  • Rivers Deck: grad students, seniors, juniors, sophomores
  • Stadium: grad students, seniors 
  • Hill Street: grad students, seniors, juniors, sophomores
  • Greenwood: grad students, seniors, juniors, sophomores
  • Appalachian Heights: complex residents only!  *If you register for this option and are not assigned to live at this complex, your registration will be deleted!
  • Panhellenic Hall: complex residents only! *If you register for this option and are not assigned to live at this complex, your registration will be deleted
  • State Farm: grad students, seniors, juniors, sophomores, freshmen
  • Evening Permit: grad students, seniors, juniors, sophomores. Note: This permit allows parking in student lots AFTER 1:30 p.m. ONLY. 

ANNUAL PERMIT FEE  

  • Rivers Deck Permit:  $ 540.00
  • Evening Permit:         $120.00
  • All Other Permits:     $ 240.00

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • IMPORTANT: Print a copy for your records once you complete the registration process!
  • Sunday, July 30 is the final day for students to register online.
  • Be careful to provide accurate information, and be absolutely sure you make the correct permit selection. No changes can be made after you click “submit!”
  • Permit fee will be charged to your university student account.
  • Permits will be available for pick up at the University Parking and Traffic Department beginning Monday, August 14. 
  • NOTICE: Sustain Appalachian along with Parking Services are excited to partner with Sterling Planet to purchase carbon offsets for university students, faculty, and staff. When you register for your parking permit, you will have the opportunity to participate in the Carbon Neutral Commuter program for an additional $8 charge. This will help move Appalachian toward its goal of carbon neutrality by the year 2050.
