Welcome!
Thank you for visiting our campus! A campus visitor is someone who is not a current student or employee. We offer different parking accommodations for different types of visitors, but all visitors are welcome to park in our Rivers Street Parking Deck for an hourly fee. Please see below for details.
After 7:00 p.m. weekdays, and at all times on weekends, visitors may park free of charge in any campus surface lot, unless otherwise posted.
Rivers Street Parking Deck
During normal business hours, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., most visitors to the campus are required to park in the Rivers Street Parking Deck. The facility is located on Rivers Street between Katherine Harper Hall and Garwood Hall. Look for the pedestrian bridge over the street, as it is a part of the parking deck.
If you are not a permit holder for the Rivers Street Parking Deck, you must prepay for parking using your phone. Download the app "ParkMobile" where you will then select the Rivers Street Parking Deck (zone 25443) as your location and select how much time you need for parking. You can set up an account with your vehicle information, payment information, and email address. Setting up a profile will save your information and make your next visit to campus even faster. This should be done upon arrival, as you must prepay for parking. You'll receive notifications on your mobile device when your time is expiring and can add more time directly to the app as needed.
Parking in the Rivers Street Parking Deck is free on the weekend and Monday - Friday after 7:00 p.m. You must still pay for parking if you enter the deck before 7:00 p.m. but do not leave until after 7:00 p.m.
Fees for Visitor Parking
The fees for parking in the Rivers Street Parking Deck are as follows:

Campus Tour Parking
Parking for campus tours is located in the Rivers Street Parking Deck. You will use the Park Mobile app to park on campus. Download the app prior to your visit and note your license plate number for the account set-up. An accesscode to waive your parking fee will be provided by Admissions on the morning of your visit.
Parking Citations
As a courtesy, we waive one citation per person during their visit to our campus. Visitors who received citations should either mail or bring to our office a copy of the citation, their vehicle registration, and their driver’s license. Once we have recorded this information, we will gladly waive the citation for you.
Contractor/Vendor Parking
If you are a contractor or a vendor on campus there are a few options for you to choose from.
- Park in the Rivers Street parking deck and paying the daily fee.
- Purchase a contractor/vendor parking permit for the cost of $336.00 for the entire school year.
- Purchase a monthly permit. This is the same price as the full year permit ($28 per month) but allows you to only purchase permits during the months you need parking.
Both of these permits are available at any time during regular business hours from our office located on the second floor of University Hall. New yearly contractor/vendor permits will be available yearly in August.
Campus Events
If you would like to request parking for an event please fill out the event parking form and a Parking Representative will contact you.
Departmental Visitor Permits
Departments can order visitor permits. These permits are valid for one day only and allow parking in any ungated lot and in the 30-minute spaces in the Howard Street lot, located behind the Plemmons Student Union. These permits also allow parking in areas approved by Parking and Transportation for a Specific event. To be considered valid the permits must have the date scratched off, otherwise, you risk receiving a citation.
