Bus & Shuttle Services
Transportation options are available for traveling within Boone and the High Country or to and from off-the-mountain destinations.
AppalCART
AppalCART is a fare-free bus transit system that serves App State, Boone and Watauga County. For routes and schedules, accessibility or other information and services visit the AppalCART web site.
Charter Bus Service
Sunway Charters operates service lines that run between Boone-Greensboro and Boone-Charlotte. Visit the Bus Tickets page for information on routes, schedules and pricing.
Hickory Hop
The Hickory Hop offers a shuttle service from Boone, Blowing Rock and Hickory to the Charlotte Airport 7 days a week. Executive service is also available and serves additional locations.
Mountaineer Safe Walk
Safe Walk is a free, safety escort service available to students in any main campus building or parking lot. A secure ride to and from satellite campus locations is also available from the limited locations.
Bicycles
University Recreation offers free bicycle racks, repair stations and pumps across campus.
