2018 AppalCart Route – App State Game Days

AppalCart fixed-route services are FREE of charge to the general public and students.  Maps are available at www.appalcart.com.  Game day routes are:

  • POP 105 – Service along the 105 corridor west of 321 to the Schaefer Center. Route includes University Highlands.  (One bus every 30 minutes.)
  • ORANGE – Service on the 421 corridor east of Boone to College Street/Belk Library. Route includes Mountaineer Village, New Market Center, and Brookshire Park.  (One bus every 20 minutes.)
  • PURPLE – Service on the 321 corridor to Peacock Circle. Route includes the Village at Meadowview.  (One bus every 30 minutes.)
  • RED - Provides connections from Walmart, Watauga Medical Center, Leon Levine Hall, Brown Brothers Apartments, Watauga County Human Services Center, and High Country Condos to College Street/Library. (One bus every 30 minutes)
  • GREEN – Service along 421 going east and NC 105 southwest of downtown. Route includes Skyline Terrace, East Village, Turtle Creek, New Market Center, Cottages of Boone, and ASU NC 105 Lot to the Peacock Traffic Light and College Street. (One bus every 40 minutes.)
  • BLUE FOOTBALL– Modified route from the normal weekday schedule. Campus pick up/drop off location for the game is Peacock Traffic Circle.  Provides service to satellite parking at the Watauga County Human Services Center, near the west end of Rivers Street (corner of King Street & Poplar Grove Connector).
  • STATE FARM - Provides service from the State Farm Lot to the Peacock Traffic Circle.  (One bus every 30 minutes.)

PARATRANSIT SERVICE - Paratransit vehicles with wheel chair ramps will shuttle passengers between the Stadium and Hill Street parking. These routes begin five hours before game start and run until the 4th quarter. At the beginning of the 4th quarter, a bus will be stationed outside of the East Gate at the stadium to transport paratransit passengers to the Hill Street Parking lot for two hours after game ends. Paratransit vehicles will be running until Stadium Drive is blocked near the end of the 4th quarter and will resume after Stadium Drive is opened.

All Game Day Routes begin 5 hours before game time unless normally scheduled to begin earlier and end 2 hours after game time or at their scheduled Saturday end times, whichever is later.
